Finite-difference Time-domain Simulation of Resonant Modes of Rectangular Dielectric Resonators

چکیده

In this paper we employ finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations to study the resonant modes in rectangular dielectric resonators (DRs). Three-dimensional field patterns for these modes are derived, and the modes are represented by combinations of equivalent electric and magnetic dipoles. The possibility of exciting TM-type modes in rectangular DRs is demonstrated. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
